Romsey and District Beekeepers’ Association was founded in 1920 to foster interest in the craft of beekeeping. It aims to represent the interest of beekeepers in the lower Test Valley, from Broughton in the north, Chandlers Ford to the east, the New Forest to the west … and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curious about beekeeping?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Beekeeping is a fascinating and rewarding hobby.  Working with these important pollinators, we learn to appreciate how they have evolved alongside flowering plants over millions of years, long before man walked the Earth.  Beekeepers find that the countryside takes on a new look when they see their bees returning from foraging trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is always more to learn. We run additional training sessions for our members, common topics being bee health, honey extraction and working with beeswax. We also run regular hands-on sessions at our association apiary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
