R&DBKA Annual General Meeting and Social
We start the year with our Annual General Meeting at Awbridge Village Hall. This is the time and place for association business: electing the committee for 2026, taking stock of what we did in 2025 and discussing plans for the year.
The meeting is followed by refreshments, a fun raffle (free to members) and time to mingle, chat and plan.

The Beekeeping Show
The Beekeeping Show – the main trade show for beekeepers in UK – was established in 2023. It aims to interest beekeepers of all types, scales and experience, and to attract
most of the UK manufacturers and suppliers of beekeeping equipment in the UK. Held at Telford, it’s a fine day out for beekeepers seeking bargains and innovations. Tickets are offered at a reduced price if booked in advance: CLICK HERE.

R&DBKA Meeting and Talk
We welcome Alan Baxter, author of the book “Fit2fight“, who will deliver a timely talk about the Yellow-Legged hornet (Vespa velutina) and advise how we can prepare our colonies to defend themselves. This will be at Awbridge Village Hall.

R&DBKA WAX DAY
This members’ event will be held at Awbridge Village Hall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The association steam wax extractor will be in action, so members can bring their “dirty” wax for cleaning. We will be refining the best wax, making candles and cosmetics – and more! Details will be posted in upcoming newsletters. Please email Gillian if you would like to register.
